Queensland Wacol train station has a small library which is located right next to the counter inside making it easier for passengers to exchange books they can read in the journey.

This is a library on the first railway station in Queensland, this library is operated only with the written rules of simple reads "Take a book, replace it with one book, jarring the book '.

This rule encourages people to donate books to the shelves of books available in the library.

Since the project began three months ago, the library continues to grow and now has more than 100 titles.

Station chief there, Kerry Carr said this initiative helped establish communication among the passengers.

"This project has been made of the passengers in the station began to communicate with each other and face away from the screen of their gadgets," he said.

"There was an incident before the library began, there was one man who asked me if I could rent a cell phone because he felt alienated (no phone) because all the passengers look to their mobile screen,"

This idea itself came after staff at the station to find a passenger to leave the books on the bench station for two consecutive days.

"We think it is more than just a coincidence, and we then thought it would be nice if we could get people to read the books," said Carr.

"The next morning when I saw a man who left the book I asked for permission to allow others to read his book is. He allows it and my friend Jodie said we should set up a book club and that's just the beginning of this library,"

The books in the library is entirely a donation station of train users, and there are also some donated by charities where readers mutually replace one book every time they take the book collections of the library.

Carr said most of the books in the library it back within one week.

"Usually the books were always returned home, there are also some who are not yet familiar back man forgotten," he said.

According to Carr's most popular books in the station it was a book written by Dean Koontz. Recently, they also got a collection of books for children.

The presence of this library makes the passengers began to share their opinions about the book he was reading with fellow passengers and also the staff at the station.

"I am delighted to be involved with people and learn a little about them and happy once this library can encourage people to talk to each other back. I guess another station must have also this kind of library facilities," he hoped.

Dalam 3 bulan sejak didirikan perpustakaan di stasiun wacol sudah memiliki lebih dari 100 judul buku koleksi hasil sumbangan para penumpang.
