Australia Increase Quotas New Colombo Plan Scholarship 2016

Australian Government re-open opportunity for hundreds of students in the country to study in various universities in the Indo-Pacific through New Colombo Plan scholarship program (NCP). In this year the quota students can get a scholarship NCP further increased to 4750 students from the previous 4400 students.

Federal Foreign Minister of Australia, Julie Bishop and the Federal Ministry of Education and Training, Christopher Pyne, Thursday (2/4) announces the opening of registration for Australian students who are interested in this scholarship program for the year 2016.

"New colombo Scholarship Program Plan (NC) is an initiative of the Australian Government signed a hand to lift the knowledge of the younger generation of the Indo-Pacific Australia with the support of the Australian students to study and do internships in the region," said Minister Bishop.

"In 2016 this scholarship program will provide grants NCP mobility for approximately 4750 students along with the development of this scholarship program so that it can offer more opportunities for Australian students to live, learn and work in the Indo-Pacific," he said

On the implementation of the NCP scholarship in 2014 and 2015 and then, the program supports more than 4400 students to take sementer short and long term as well as research in the Indo-Pacific region. More than 109 students received scholarships from the prestigious New Colombo Plan's initiatives.

"NCP Scholarship Program is open to Australian students from various disciplines and supports students from a variety of fields ranging from law, business, medicine, engineering, information technology to urban planning (urban planning)," said Minister Pyne.

According Pyne major improvement in the implementation of the NCP program in 2016 was the introduction of a multi-year funding for projects that can support the mobility of higher education to provide learning opportunities for students in the long term and sustainable improvement for Australian students while in their university, "

"The collaboration between universities and the con sector can extend opportunities for students Australia under the Colombo Plan and the New scholarships will also be able to further encourage them," he said.

"The colleges are intended to support the development of innovative partnerships with the business community in Australia and throughout the region to create new opportunities for the students of the NCP to undergo internship programs and bimibingan long as they gain knowledge," said Minister Bishop.

Students who follow this NCP program will acquire a fund of 100 million Australian dollars for 5 years in betuk scholarship.

With these grants, the recipient can use it to follow the course of the semester, the program of short courses / short courses, internships and mentorships in four countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong

Australian students studying in Indonesia from year to year more and more. By 2015, there will be at least 550 new students from Australia who took study in Indonesia.
