The use of video technology in the Premier League a matter of time. However, the new English football likely to feel it in the next three seasons.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Chairman of the Association of Premier League referee Mike Riley, has requested the use of video technology in competition Britain's highest caste, with increasing controversy over the referee.
Earlier, FIFA had already introduced a goal-line technology to minimize refereeing errors in determining the ball had crossed the line or not. But, now another discourse presented.
Many leagues that require the use of video to assist the referee in the decision making regarding the penalty or any breach potentially harsh red card.
One of the most insistent European league to use video technology is owned Dutch Eredivise. However, the discourse had to be delayed after the International Football Association Board (IFAB) rejected the request.
Dutch is actually quite confident about the technology they already have, by placing fifth in the video referee who can access the replays. This concept has been done in recent months.
Referees will use replays to make the right decision only on critical incidents, like a red card, penalty, or violation before the goal.
