After passing the asteroid BL86, the earth will again meet with other asteroids. This time, the asteroid was named 2014-YB35.
Reported by Softpedia, Thursday, March 26, 2015, the asteroid will approach the Earth YG35 on Friday, March 27th, 2015. It is about 11.6 times closer than the moon.
In other words, 2014 YB35 will not give concern for the inhabitants of the earth. Distance YB35 with the earth is only about 4.5 million kilometers or about 2.8 million miles. You could say, to the size of the space, the distance is nearing. But scientists ensure this distance will not endanger the safety of the earth.
YB35 asteroid was first discovered on December 27, 2014 by astronomers working at the Catalina Sky. It is a project that examines and identifies comets and asteroids that could potentially threaten the Earth.
Since the discovery, space rock that has been observed many times, even in 380 occasions. Astronomers predict, the size range of 440 to 990 meters, or about 1,440 to 3,250 feet.
With the size of it, the speed of a space rock reached 10.6 kilometers per second, or about 6.6 miles per second.
This is the second time this year an asteroid nearly rammed earth. Earlier, in January, 2014-BL86 asteroid passing Earth at a distance of 1.2 million kilometers or approximately 750,000 miles from Earth.
Fortunately, even though the distance is close, BL86 also potentially hit the Earth. B86 also continued his journey in space.
After YB35 passing, his form will not be closer to the earth until later in 2033. The asteroid will come back to visit Earth in the year with the closest distance of 3.2 million kilometers, or about 2 million miles from Earth.
